Anastasia Chakutina
Piano Teacher

Pianist, Anastasia Chakutina, began her music education in St. Petersburg, Russia with Professor Sima Brook. She also studied piano at the St. Petersburg Lyceum of Music with renowned pedagogue Irina Lobikova.
When Anastasiya was eight years old her family moved to Guangzhou, China. While living in China, Anastasia continued her piano studies and also learned Mandarin Chinese.
Anastasia performed her first concert at the age of eleven, playing Kabalavsky’s Piano Concerto No. 3 in D Major. She has performed in major concert halls including The St. Petersburg Capella, The St. Petersburg Philharmonic, and several concert halls in Gamburg, Germany. She has also received many awards and scholarships for her performances.
Anastasia received her Bachelor’s degree in Philology and Linguistics at the University of St. Petersburg and her Bachelor in Music from The St. Petersburg Music Lyceum. She also studied Integrated Arts at the University of Rennes in Rennes, France.
Anastasia has been teaching piano for over ten years. She teaches with patience and energy, integrating musicality and proper technique in creative, exciting ways that are tailored to each student and designed to inspire a lifetime love of music. Her experience with music education and performance has made her a versatile teacher, gaining many insights into piano technique, music theory, rhythm, as well as ear training and sight reading practices.
