Sally Emilia

Piano Teacher

Sally Emilia began her piano studies at the age of four in Indonesia and moved to the United States in 2011, where she continued her piano studies at Pasadena City College with Dr. Phillip Young. 
 
During her studies at PCC, she won third prize at the International Piano Six/Eight Hand Competition in Marktoberdorf, Germany as a member of the Ivory Rose Piano Quartet. 
 
She also won the PCC Concerto Competition and received numerous awards; such as Collaborative Piano Awards, Faculty Honors Extraordinary for Outstanding Academic, and Musical Achievement.
 
She received her Bachelor of Music and Master of Fine Arts in Piano Performance with Honors from UC Irvine under the tutelage of Professor Nina Scolnik. 
 
At UCI, she was a recipient of the prestigious Rawlins Scholarship and Dean’s Fellowship. She was also selected to perform in master classes and on other high profile concert venues, both on and off campus. 
 
Sally enjoys helping piano students become independent learners through helping them play with the best physical posture and technique possible. She loves teaching students of all ages and sharing her love of music with others.
