Yuriko Mikasa

Yuriko Mikasa, pianist and violinist, has been teaching both instruments for 5 years. She loves working with students of all ages and skill levels, customizing her lesson approach to each student based on their personality, goals, and musicality.

Yuriko is currently a third year undergraduate student, studying piano performance under Dr. Lorna Griffitt at University of California, Irvine. She was the scholarship recipient of the Tustin Area Council for Fine Arts in 2022, as well as a nominee for the 2022 OC Varsity Artist of the year. She has worked with Dr. Daniel Wachs when performing her first piano concert at the age of 16. She has also been under the instructions of Satomi Otsubo, as well as Chizuko Asada from Cal State University of Long Beach.

In addition to her performing, she has also been a strings coach for the string orchestra at Arnold O. Beckman High School since 2022, and has been the strings leader for the yearly TACFA Broadway in the Park performances over the summer. She loves sharing her passion for music with others through teaching!
